This event turned out to be something of an anti-climax after all the efforts of the previous months. The theme of "Rail Blue" excluded all our locos to all intents and purposes, but we were prevented from showing off our best exhibits, 85101 and E3035, as they were stabled in the commercial compound, hemmed in by other locos, and virtually impossible to see, let alone photograph. Roaring was out of the question too, as the Generator Car was similarly positioned; ironically, this would have been the last opportunity to use the Generator Car as it left in early 2003.
